Project Description : Event planning for the Open Air Pub 10-day long music festival hosted every year on McGill campus. The music festival included daily concerts, a BBQ, bar, sponsorship tents, and park activities. As the ‘food manager’, my role focused on the sale of food to the 4000+ daily patrons.
Project Deliverables:
Event Planning: A-Z planning of the festival in the 3-4 months prior to the event
Coordination with contractors (fencing, porta potties, security, electricians, McGill administration)
Equipment rentals (security mics and earpieces, trucks, etc.)
Supplier & sponsor coordination (Food & drink) including shipping and storage logistics.
Budgeting, forecasting and expense tracking
Onsite Operations: Daily presence for the 10 day festival (10-12h days)
Onsite coordination of 100+ volunteers
Re-firing charcoal grills and ensuring product consistency
Daily inventory and restocks
Being a visible point of contact for patrons to ask questions or flag any concerns.
